HKU SPACE AI Chat continues to evolve to better support staff and students in their daily work and study. Below are the latest enhancements, usage highlights and what’s coming next for the platform.

Staff rollout was completed in June 2025, with strong adoption across academic and administrative units.

The platform was opened to full‑time Community College (CC) and HPSHCC students in September 2025.

By late November, students accounted for more than half of all platform interactions, showing growing confidence in using AI Chat for study support.
Common uses include drafting documents, preparing meetings, summarising materials and getting explanations of difficult concepts.
